2010 was a great year for free online games with a host of great new games for players of all genres. This is the 3rd year that FreeMMORPGs.com has given out awards and there are some old stalwarts but many new games in each category. These awards were chosen by the staff at FreeMMORPGs.com. As always all these games are free for you to play!
Aika takes the first 2010 award and top spot for best PvP. Aika’s gameplay is fully build on PvP and it shows with huge PvP fights including castle sieges and 1000 vs. 1000 nation warfare.
Vindictus makes good use of the Source engine as the characters look amazing as well as the destructible environments and enemies.
AQ Worlds takes best browser game as it runs a good looking fantasy world without a download.
Alliance of Valiant Arms has pretty good graphics and runs pretty smoothly as well which is important in a MMOFPS. There is plenty of customization and maps for players.
Atlantica Online takes its spot back away from League of Legends as it is still one of the more unique free online games out there.
Free Realms is a repeat winner taking this award again with it’s array of fun mini games and car racing.
Vindictus takes its second award this year as it not only has great graphics but also has action packed fast paced combat.
Aika also takes home its second award of the year as it not only has great PvP but is also a great overall game for players to enjoy.
Lord of the Rings Online takes home the coveted award from its change to free to play. The depth of the game because of its long stretch as a pay to play game brings many aspects that most free to play MMORPGs don’t have yet, but they are closing the gap.
