In the world of Taryn a constant battle for supremacy is constantly being wage. You have been recruited as pilot for the most advanced weapon of war, the Mechanaut. Before venturing out it is important that you get your feet wet before being added to the growing number of casualties in this endless war.

Pilot and Robot

Logging in to the game prompts you to enter a call sign. The game provides you with a female guide, Sarah. She will be your guide in your characters creation and basic information about the game.

After registering into the game, you will be ushered in into Tutorial Mode. You have the option of skipping this stage but this would mean missing out on some important credits. If by any chance you miss some important fine points about the game, tutorial mode could be accessed anytime from the game lobby.

Skill Points

Finishing a game allows you to score Credit and Experience points. Experience points are earned which in turn allows you to move up the ranks. Leveling up earns you skill points that could be distribute to different pilot attributes. 

Simple skills are included in the tutorial mode, these are:

Jump – tap the SPACEBAR to jump or fly by holding the SPACEBAR in combination with the direction keys.

Booster Controls – press the SHIFT button and hold, use the arrow keys to direct a burst of speed to any direction. Doing a double tap on the direction keys gives you a sudden burst of speed.

Aiming and Firing – aim the crosshair and shoot targets using your mouse. Locking the target is automatic once it is acquired. Use either the left or right mouse buttons to shoot your left or right weapon.

Weapon Swapping – weapons overheat as they are used. Firing a weapon causes weapon temperatures to rise. A RED color means that the weapon being used has reached its maximum temperature limit. When a weapon reaches the RED mark it becomes unusable until it cools down. This requires you to switch weapons in order to continue to attack. Great care must be done that maximum weapon combinations are used to get the desired effect. Pressing the “R” switches weapons.

Mechanaut

After completing the tutorial mode you are then sent to the hangar where you are asked to setup your mechanaut. This will bring ask you to choose your mechanaut and customize parts and equipments.

The left side of the screen displays your mech being equipped with your chosen parts. A wide choice of parts and armor are available to suit individual styling and gaming needs. Mech parts could be purchased at the STORE and after equipping you are then sent again to the Lobby.

Joining, Creating a Game

The Lobby is where you create or join a game. Hitting the Quickstart option sends you the nearest open game available. if you’re planning to setup a game with your friends, pressing on the Find option and locking in your friends call sign will send you the game.
