Dragonica Review:
Dragons and human beings had lived in peace in their own, separate worlds. But the Dark Dragon Elga, wanting to invade the human world, led a rebellion that led to the death of the Dragon Lord. Five Heroes defeated Elga, and kept him in prison of the Shadow Cabinet.
That was one thousand years ago - but a hungry enchantress has freed the Dark Lord, causing havoc to humans and dragons.
As a Warrior, Thief, Archer or Magician, it is now your turn to fight the Dark Lord.

Dragonica Online goes away from the usual 3D MMORPGs with highly intricate graphic details. Instead, they chose to bring a touch of classic gameplay to this MMORPG. Dragonica Online features a side-scrolling gameplay, pretty much like those arcade games that you’ve grown to love over the past years. It is, however, still in 3D, and gives a sense of anime-like graphics. And because of its simplicity, even your little brother or sister wouldn’t have any problems of playing it.
You get to choose from 4 classes: Warrior, Magician, Archer and Thief. Warriors have high hit points and strength. Magicians have weaker bodies, but have great ranged-damaged outputs. Archers are fast and can shoot opponents in the air while launching a barrage of fast attacks. Thieves have great combinations of agility and power, and deal great damage using melee weapons.
As you level up, you get to choose different jobs according to your class. At level 20, Warriors can become Knights or Gladiators, Magicians to Acolytes or Battlemages, Archers evolve to Hunters or Rangers, and Thieves to Jesters or Assassins.
The graphics are quite good. Even if it’s a side-scrolling game, you still get to have cute, 3D graphics. The backgrounds are quite nice looking, although not very realistic since they look like 3D cartoons. But compared to other MMORPGs with the same class, Dragonica is definitely eye-candy. Even enemies look cute, that you’d sometimes wonder why you have to kill those cute-looking sheep.
The game’s user interface is quite easy to understand, too. You can put skills and consumable items in slots for easy access in battle, and the mini map is displayed on the upper right for easy navigation. The game also incorporates a mailbox, where you can send items and money to your friends without meeting up with them.
Dragonica Online goes away with the mouse, so laptop users can rejoice. Players just need the arrow keys, and the rest of the keyboard for attacking, jumping and everything else – no more mice dragging just to set the perfect camera angle.
