RF Online is not your basic MMORPG, this game is populated by technologically advanced robots battling magically equipped races. It is the ultimate battle of science and mysticism. Set in the planet Novus, three races fight for supremacy and the rich resources on the planet.

The planet is populated by three races, the Accretians, Bellato, and the Cora. Accretians are those who pursue perfection thru the merging of flesh and steel. The Bellatos on the other hand are a race bent dominating the planet and becoming an interstellar power. Lastly, the Cora is a race waging a never ending holy war for their god Decem.

Every race brings their unique kind of specialty to finally rest the planet from the others. The Accretians are the most physically gifted, using their technology to enhance their powers by merging steel and flesh. This race deals damage with the use of their launchers which is extremely heavy. These come with a price as their heavy armor and weaponry leads them to be sluggish on the battlefield.

The Bellato are physically the weakest among the three. Like the Accretians they use technology to enhance their arsenal by producing Massive Armored Units. These are huge mechanized robots which they pilot and pack the strength of a small army.

Finally, the Cora deviates from the two races and use magic not science in waging their holy war. They summon monsters during battles that do their bidding. Other powers include healing and buffing allies.

Worldwide mayhem occurs when these three races engage in schedules battles called the Chip Wars. The massive chips are the sources of each race’s power and each race defends or attacks each chips before finally emerging as the victor. The results of this battle have tremendous impacts on which race gains the upper hand on the following battles.

The winner gets the right to mine and upgrade their weapons. This also fuels their arm purchases allowing them to stockpile weapons for the next conflict. One unique feature is the “Archon” or Supreme commander. They function as generals for directing war strategies. Together with his Lieutenants, they direct traffic or position other players during battle.

RF Online recently released Crimson Dawn the latest patch for the game franchise. Some game improves include raising the maximum level to 55. The most anticipated additions however are the red weapon and equipment kits. These are weapon and equipment upgrades available for each race.

When it comes to new weapons, the latest patch delivers. The patch releases a new set of weapons in the game, new weapon sets called the “Relics” brings a new dimension to dishing out pain. These weapons are rare and locating them could tip the balance in favor of a race.
