Rose Online is not a game for everyone. For those who prefer high end graphics over game play or would like to explore the world alone then this might not be your cup of tea. Rose Online has been around for quite a while and has established its own community. I really loved the game’s community. The players are friendly, helpful and were a lot of fun to play with.
The game could be grind-heavy in the long run. This is where having a party or group at the higher job levels is essential for farming experience points. Rose Online’s community is one of the best anywhere in the web. If you’re tired of the snobbish and go it alone games then this could be the change you’re looking for.
Walking is a healthy activity but constantly walking in game is another story. Going to a target area could take a few minutes which certainly is an inconvenience when you’re on a game time budget. Going from the NPC to a dungeon walking is quite a task but imagine shuffling to three places just to finish your quest.
Quests could be a great way of getting an in-depth look into the games story. These are pretty simple and only require you to turn in a certain number of monster kills to accomplish. However, some of the quests were pretty frustrating especially those that needed players to constantly move from one map or another just to turn in items.
Age is certainly taking its toll on the game. A detailed look into your environment shows a few pixels here and there but overall the game still is decent enough compared to its newer counterparts. Certain aspects of the game such as the lack of monster detail and variety have also crept its way as more and more modern games have sported detail rich and captivating monster designs. Developers have placed more importance in monster design rather than variety making it hard to distinguish one from the other.
Death takes a certain percentage of your valuable experience points every time you’re killed. This might not be a problem during the lower levels but could be devastating when your way up the character levels.
Reaching the higher levels opens a whole new option for customization. Wings and special items help equip these high level characters distinguishing them from their lowly counterparts. Dealers open up a new whole aspect of game play. Again working with others is key to becoming successful. Working and trading with other Dealers hastens the crafting process.
Time flies when you’re enjoying yourself and this could be done by sharing the gaming experience with friends. Having a group at your back helps you gather more experience points, better drops and adds to the overall fun of the game.
