We’ve experienced it all before, excitement overcomes us about a certain character class in a game. But after one month of continuous playing we find out that we’ve messed up the build leaving us with characters which is best described as mediocre. Below is a simple guide to character building.

The Courageous Warrior
Base Stats:
Str 28, Dex 23, Con 26, Int 10, Wis 17
Weapons:
One-hand Swords, Dagger, Wand, One-hand Axe, Mace, Two-hand sword, Staff, Two-hand Axe, Two-hand Dagger
Armors:
Robes, Cloth, Leather chain, Shield
The Warrior is a master of melee combat. The difference between the Knight and the Warrior is that the Warrior primarily focuses on high damage output rather than defense. Since Warriors are close range fighters, they still possess ample defense and armor compared with the other classes. The primary stat for Warriors is Strength and Dexterity.
Advantage: Good Melee Damage, Nice Def, Good HP
Disadvantage: Poor Tanker, No Defense Bonus
The Valiant Knight
Base Stats:
Str 26, Dex 21, Con 28, Int 21, Wis 19
Weapons:
One-hand Swords, Mace, Two-hand Sword, Two-hand Hammer
Armor:
Cloth, Leather, Chains, Plate, Shield
The Knight is perhaps the sturdiest character class in Runes of Magic. In other games, it is often referred to as the tank. The Knight is one of the few classes who can endure much damage. In addition to being able to wear Plate Armor, the Valiant Knight has buffs and abilities that can increase his defense and strengthen his shield. The primary stat growth of the Knight is Constitution and Strength.
Advantage: Large Def, Huge HP, Perfect for Tanking, Defense Buffs
Disadvantages: Low Damage
The Cunning Scout
Base Stats:
Str 21, Dex 25, Con 21, Int 20, Wis 20
Weapons:
One-hand Swords, Dagger, Bow, Projectiles
Armor:
Cloth, Leather
Scouts are the complete opposites of the Rogue class. Scouts are very dangerous with ranged weapons. Mostly useless up close, the Scout prefers to attack the enemy from a distance. Scouts have the magical ability to “bind” enemies. Intelligence and Dexterity are the primary stats of the Scouts.
The Holy Priest
Base Stats:
Str 14, Dex 14, Con 18, Int 26, Wis 28
Weapons:
Wand, Mace, Staff
Armor:
Robes, Cloth, Shield
Of all the magic type characters, Priests stand out as the toughest. They can wear shields that protect them from heavy damage. However, their primary armor is the cloth or robe, which doesn’t offer much in defense.
Their magic is a great advantage as they possess the ability to heal and buff other players. No party will ever be complete without a Priest since they can turn the tide of any battle with their ability to heal members. The primary stats of priests are Wisdom and Intelligence.
Advantage: Best in party support, Healing Magic, Support Buff
Disadvantage: Mediocre Defense, Low Damage
The Intelligent Mage
Base Stats:
Str 10, Dex 12, Con 12, Int 28, Wis 28
Weapons:
Dagger, Wand, Staff
Armors:
Robe, Cloth
Mages are the incredible Nukers of Runes of Magic. They, however, have the lowest of all defensive stats. Mages excel in Fire and Air (aka Thunder) spells. Intelligence and a little bit of Wisdom are the primary stats of Mages.
Advantages: Highest damages
Disadvantage: Weakest defense
The Devious Rogue
Base Stats:
Str 23, Dex 28, Con 22, Int 14, Wis 19
Weapons:
One-hand Sword, Dagger, Projectiles
Armor:
Cloth, Leather
Rogues are perhaps the fastest levelers in the game. Although they don’t deal much damage as magic type users, they have a powerful ability that deals damage over time. Although not as efficient in PVP’s, monsters are highly susceptible to their damage. While Rogues can wield projectile weapons, their skill set doesn’t really complement still they are very dangerous. Strength and Dexterity are their primary stats.
Advantage: Fast leveler
Disadvantage: Mediocre defense, Low HP
