Don Cavalier was a billionaire gaming tycoon who ended up leaving his estate with no one to inherit his vast wealth. His estate was utterly left in chaos and with everybody in the company fighting to take a piece of his huge fortune. Before everything went out of hand however, a hologram of Don Cavalier himself appeared revealing how he wanted to give everybody a an equal chance to share his wealth. He spoke about an island where anyone can visit and join the adventure to be given the right of inheriting his fortune. Without hesitation his company then set into motion his final request and now brings to us the game that is known as Trickster Online.
Adventurers start the game by choosing from a list of 8 classes that have their own unique affinity to a specific animal. Players who wish to explore their magical side can go on the side of the Dragon and Sheep Class. Dragons specialize in light (healing) and dark (status effects) magic. Sheep on the other hand are experts in AoE and Elemental spells.
Buffalos and Bunnies are the warriors and close combat specialists in the game. Bunny skills are geared towards one on one combat while Buffalos are masters in dealing with mobs. Given a choice I would stick to the Buffalo and leave the Bunny in the meadows.
Those wishing to make the fastest buck in the game can turn to the Lion and Fox classes. To get a better understanding into what these classes are, these characters are similar to gatherers or miner classes to be found in other games.
Finally, there are the Raccoon and Cat Classes. These classes are the buffers of the games, similar to Priests classes in other MMORPGs. Aside from these, Raccoon classes use summoned monsters and cards for attacks while Cats are masters in using their voices to damage their enemies while being able to transform into monsters themselves.
There is more to the game than choosing a character class. Along with the usual monster drops is the chance to earn a battle card. This is not the sort of game card you can use to enhance your armor or weapon seen in Ragnarok Online but these cards can be used to open another unique game system called Card Battling.
The game starts when two opponents flip a card. Winning depends on what rules are being implemented. There are two rules to choose from, Don Cavalier or Don Giuvanni rules. The game ends when one player has one card left.
Grinding and questing can be tiring at times. You can mix up your gaming experience by venturing out into the world and do some prospecting. Drilling is an excellent way of getting away from the constant pressures of fighting and a welcome change of pace.
