The latest expansion is not just one of your run of the mill additions we often see on other games but one that is bound to shake everything we know about the realm. Just when victory was within grasp and you thought that the Lich King was on his heels, Deathwing the Destroyer was setting his plans to make good his attack on Azeroth.

The dark general, while hiding in the shadows is about to launch his planned attack on the different kingdoms of Azeroth. Locked in his sights are Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms of Azeroth which are about to experience the full brunt of his attacks. This series of events would set into motion ripples which would affect the realms major warring factions, the Horde and the Alliance.

New characters and races arise from the land to forge alliances with the two major factions. Worgens rise from the shadows to join the Alliance. These cursed creatures are humans who have been transformed into werewolves whose loyalty lies only with the blue banner. This race also presents individual abilities which depend on their form and shape.

Goblins, sometimes mistaken for orcs take the side of the Horde in this new expansion. This race excels in forging new technologies and equipments along with their natural knack of being resourceful.

The landscape is about to get a minor facelift as new dungeons and raids are introduced with the expansion. Changes in the land are evident as familiar places like the Barrens, once a vast desert it is now dotted with lava outbreaks. New areas previously unreached because of their great distances could now be explored with the use of flight.

More powerful skills and abilities are now available which can add a new interest in leveling up and character development. Players are also given a chance to explore this new landscape with the introduction of the Archeologist. This new profession is a secondary job class that needs prior experience in gathering professions such as herbalism and mining.

Guilds and teamplay experience is also enhanced with the introduction of the new Guild Advancement system. New raids would certainly make it more interesting and assist guilds in reaching level 20. Achieving a higher guild level would mean access to better gold drops and lesser repair costs for members.

Players have also better options for character personalization. This new expansion is sure to make the mouth of any World of Warcraft player water with its new offerings.
